So in light of all the post-election fallout, Kanye West a couple of days ago said that if he voted, he would have voted for Donald Trump, and people booed him, and some said they are even going to protest him. This got me thinking, how divided has this country gotten where people are literally protesting artists, WHO SUPPORT THE PRESIDENT-ELECT OF THE UNITED STATES. Like come on now, can’t we all just enjoy music and get along without dragging politics into everything.

This got me thinking, what other artists have done “controversial” things, and how has the public responded. I remembered when Chris Brown beat up Rihanna, people protested him, and people thought that would end his career but it didn’t. I remember thinking to myself that this was the end of Chris Brown and I would never listen to his music again. However, after he did “his time” no one seemed to care anymore. His music is still on the radio, and most of my friends (including female friends) have told me they really enjoy his music.

Also one of my favorite artists, Eminem, has done more controversial things then I can count including insulting gays, women, doing drugs and being a danger to children. Sure he has gotten him some heat for it, but his career has managed to bounce back every single time, as I’m sure Kanye’s will from this minor incident.
