A former Pace University employee was arrested earlier this week on charges of child pornography, according to reports by the New York Daily News and a university-wide email sent by President Stephen J. Friedman today.

Scott Lane was Director of Donor Relations and Fundraising Programs, and, according to Friedman’s email, he “has been terminated, permanently barred from University property and facilities, and is no longer employed by the University.”

According to the Daily News report, Lane was arrested “for watching a live stream of a young boy being sexually abused.” The report goes on to say that Lane was arrested by Homeland Security and that he is to be transferred to Pennsylvania.
