A Hot Spot for Hot Drinks
Students can always choose to visit a well-known Dunkin’ Donuts or Starbucks where they’ll find their college frappe and cappuccino junkies. But as a Pleasantville student perk, students can also choose to try out the local Black Cow;a small coffee shop that offers great service and a great atmosphere, according to Junior Joshua Kreitler.
“[The Black Cow] is a little coffee shop that’s not commercialized and has good coffee. My favorite thing to get is a black cow which is half coffee, half hot chocolate,” Joshua said.
Some students like to stick with their classic menu items in their classic, familiar spots. But The Black Cow has received only positive reviews like four out of five stars, if not five out of five stars by most reviewers online, so one could assume it’s a place to try out.
“I would say it’s cozier than the other shops meaning Dunkin’ Donuts and Starbucks,” Joshua said.
Overall, The Black Cow is Pace friendly with its walking-distance proximity from the shuttle stop in town, the prices aren’t too high, and the mom-and-pop hospitality is what makes it a favorable Setter Spot.
