Autumn Is Here
It is apple picking season, but most students are unfamiliar with the Pleasantville area. You always want to find a good place to pick some in-season apples and a pumpkin from a patch to get in the autumn time spirit. Only being 20 minutes away from Pace, Stuart’s Farm is a fun and affordable place to pick your fruits and squashes with your family or friends.
The family-operated farm is located in Somers, a town just north of Pleasantville. The orchards have a variety of apple types, ranging from Granny Smith to Red Delicious to McIntosh. Aside from this, the farm also offers hayrides, pumpkin picking, and sells their very own products made from their produce such as cider, pies, and donuts.
“[Stuart’s Farm] is a very fun place to go; it is nothing too fancy and the prices are reasonable. I would definitely go back. I recommend it to others,” junior Zachary Bradley, a student from New Jersey, said.
You can go to the farm between September to November to pick your apples from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. So make some time in your schedule to experience a new place and take some stress away from papers and readings.
