Sometimes people need alone time. Whether it’s to recollect your thoughts or to simply enjoy time with yourself, being alone isn’t necessarily bad. Many spend this alone time in their rooms or in the library, but sometimes you need to treat yourself to a one person adventure. For only a three dollar, one-way train ticket to White Plains you can have this adventure and enjoy the pleasure of being with yourself.

Take the train to White Plains, walk east on Main Street, then turn right on S Broadway. Keep walking down the road and to your left you’ll find Eastview. It’s a small, triangular park situated between two roads and right next to the Westchester Mall. You can sit on the bench and just take in the fresh air and appreciate the city view mixed with nature.

The small park is a relaxing place to admire a view or eat lunch in the afternoon. On the way to it, you can stop by many food spots like Chipotle, Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza or Starbucks. In the middle of the park are two tables built to lunch on. They’re right under the park’s trees that offer shade and a breeze.
