The Walking Dead Premiere (Major Spoilers Ahead)
So, in the commuters lounge at Pace this dreamy greek kid Taso, ruined the latest episode of The Walking Dead for me. As a true Walking Dead fan, I made sure that everyone who was in my position and didn’t watch the last episode will now have your heart crushed by a spoiler as I did.
So for those who do not know me, or who did not read my last blog post, I am a fan girl. And, when it comes to The Walking Dead, Sundays become an event. Since Halloween of 2010, I have been a loyal fan. Every Sunday my family and I would gather around the television and watch The Walking Dead. Through these past 6 years, I felt like I gained a family. With this extended family, I would feel bad if something bothered them. If they die, well, a small piece of me dies as well.
Small pieces of me have died before because of The Walking Dead.
Small pieces of me died this Sunday.
Glenn was a family member of mine that I got to know from season one. I saw it all: His story development from a pizza delivery guy to finding his one true love and marrying her in the worst possible environment. His love life was a reminder to us all that even in the worst places love can be found. Now fans have nothing to fall back on. No one can live vicariously through this show anymore. Technically, he was supposed to die and in the comics he dies the same way but we would think that he would be like Rick and outlive the comics’ terrible timeline for him.
Abraham Ford was a comical former U.S Army Sergent. He was a serious yet sarcastically funny man who we first met midway through season four. Three seasons in and fans have recently really emotionally connected with him. Through his love affair with Sasha and dealing with severe depression, we find out that he just a genuinely great man who was just looking for someone to fall in love with. Sasha was that someone for him. But now she is left alone because of Negan.
Negan is a man I will never like.
I hate Negan.
I hate Lucile.
Negan killed Glenn and Abraham using Lucile.
He killed Glenn in front of Maggie.
He killed family.
RIP GLENN AND ABRAHAM.
“I will find you,” Glenn said as his last words to Maggie.
