When asked about the decision to let Tyler Owens play despite the recent assault allegations against him, football Head Coach Andrew Rondeau said “That is way above my paygrade. The questions about that topic, I can’t answer for you.”

Student reactions to Owens playing were varied. Some said his suspension had been enough and that he should be given another chance. Others were surprised, saying the school should not be represented by him.

According to the Journal News, Pace barred the media from campus “in advance of Friday’s game.”
