On Sunday, April 12, the Pace University chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon revealed its official drink on the menu of Earlybird Cafe, located in Briarcliff Manor. The chocolate-covered strawberry latte is a signature drink of Earlybird’s, featuring their own espresso roast, mocha, and strawberry cold foam.
DPhiE sister Janya Draper describes the latte as a “decadent, sweet, and creamy drink that totally brings spring vibes.”
Taylor Alicia describes the coffee as a “great way to start your morning.” Alicia also says that “the rich and creamy strawberry cold foam pairs perfectly with the sweet mocha syrup.”
With the unveiling of their drink, the DPhiE sisters also hosted a fundraiser with the cafe. Upon mentioning Pace DPhiE at the register, 15% of the proceeds went back to the chapter. The sisters were actively fundraising from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the cafe, raising awareness for their philanthropies.
Founded in 1917, Delta Phi Epsilon proudly supports the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD), the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. Sisters actively raise awareness and funds for these important causes that they hold very close to their hearts.
When asked about why she fundraises for DPhiE, senior Julianna D’Amato stated, “I just love giving back to the causes that I care so much about.” Many sisters personally know people who struggle with the philanthropies they support.
The fundraiser ended up being a complete success. Delta Phi Epsilon ended up raising $45.00 for their chapter. They plan to continue their philanthropic pursuits with similar fundraisers next semester.
