The regular season for Northeast-10 Men’s Lacrosse has come to an end. In a dead heat, the Setters wound up with the third seed in the conference. For their effort, at least one playoff game comes to Northwell Stadium this Saturday, April 27. The 6th-seeded Assumption Greyhounds will visit the Setters, with the winner playing #2, Saint Anselm College the following Wednesday, May 1.

The Setters were in a top 4 position all year. Their regular season record ended 11-2, matching the final win count of their previous two years. Their record within the NE-10 was 7-2, those defeats to the teams ahead of them. Undefeated Adelphi University defeated Pace 12-6 on March 29 at Northwell Stadium. The most recent defeat was yesterday when the aforementioned 11th-ranked Saint Anselm Hawks upset the Setters. With their win, Pace lost this spot as the second seed in the conference. A drop to third cost them the last bye to the second round. Instead, it’s an extra game, though still on the home field.

Pace sits 6-1 at home and 5-1 on the road. While in Pleasantville, the Setters scored at least 12 goals in every game but their defeat to Adelphi. A worry, however, is that teams versus Pace have scored at least 10 goals for the last 7 games. In their previous meeting, Pace defeated Assumption 16-11 at home.

Statistically, the team has scored 204 goals on 592 shots. They have conceded 129 goals. Defensively, Pace has caused 153 turnovers and boasts a 58% clear attempt success rate. Ryan Kemp all players in goals, assists, and points. He scored 40 and assisted 23 for a total of 63. Daniel Zabbia also had a 40-goal season while assisting on 11 for 51 points. Declan Landers just missed out on a 50-point season. He got 24 goals and 23 assists to finish with 47.

First draw is scheduled for 4:00 pm. Students are admitted free. For others, find tickets at paceathletics.universitytickets.com Watch live on https://ne10now.tv/paceuathletics.
