SGA Election Results Delayed over Student Complaint

Student Government Association (SGA) elections were open to student voting from April 1-5. Students received reminders to vote and updated live results in their email all week. However, the official election results, which were expected to arrive by April 9, have been delayed due to a “student complaint” that was filed to the organization.

We are currently under investigation of said complaint,” said Shawn Livingston, senior associate director of Center for Student Development and Community Activities.”Until further notice, we will not be releasing any results until the Elections Committee and Board have deemed the complaint cleared.”

SGA president Olivia Wint said they are unaware of when election results will be revealed, but they are trying to get the results in as quickly as possible. Wint said their main priority is to protect all candidates and will not release any more information at this time.
