Michael Perrota

Michael+Perrota

Prof. Michael Perrota has been hanging and banging around Pace University in many capacities since 1997.

He is an alum of Pace University, class of 2001, back when their where horse stables and no athletic center. He began teaching at Pace University during the spring of 2004 semester. Previously, he was a full-time reporter for North Jersey Media Group in the sports and news sections. After he began teaching, he worked in the sports department for the Star-Ledger. He has won four New Jersey Press Association Awards, two of which were individual awards –  the Lloyd P. Burns Award for Responsible Journalism (first place) and Best News Reporting Statewide (second place). He possesses a B.A. from Pace University, a M.A. in journalism from Iona and a M.F.A. in professional writing and fiction from Western Connecticut State University.

He likes to swamp himself with writing projects. He is currently finishing a novel while working on a collection of essays.

He loves Pace. And Pace loves him. Most of the time.
