Turn Down The Music

While I absolutely love listening to my music as much as possible, there are situations in my life where listening to music (or the wrong music) at the wrong time has gotten me in trouble. In order to make sure you don’t repeat the same mistakes I do, here are some examples of my sins.

1. Driving while babysitting: I babysit my sister and her friends on a regular basis, and sometimes I drive them places with the music playing (and God knows my playlist is vulgar. It’s kind of awkward when I bring them home to their parents and they come home yelling the f and n-words.

2. While cooking: There was once a time where I put Burger King French fries in the microwave and put my headphones on for three minutes and I walked away. When I returned I had discovered that while I was spaced out listening to music the fries had caught on fire and melted part of the microwave.

3. Driving in a school zone: Now sometimes listening to rock and roll causes me to speed a little while driving, because of the adrenalin. So one time I actually went through a school zone listening to Down with The Sickness going 40 mph instead of 15, I got pulled over, it wasn’t a fun time.

4. Listening to music while trying to listen to the GPS at the same time: Honestly, sometimes it just doesn’t work, because the Weeknd’s Voice will be louder than Siri’s and I’ll miss an exit and add another 10 minutes to my trip.
